The laptop HP Pavilion dv2 (I wrote about it months ago) is already avaliable at some stores: for example at the HP UK store from 499 GBP (look at the Spanish piece of news for available configurations in Spain). It is a small laptop with a 12.1″ screen (1280×800) and a weight of 1.7 kg, just in between (in terms of performance, size and price) netbooks and conventional laptops.

The avaliable models in the UK are:
- HP Pavilion dv2-1010ea: AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 (1.6 GHz), 1 GB DDR2 RAM (4 GB max), ATI Radeon X1250, 160 GB HD (5400 rpm), external DVD burner, Windows Vista Home Basic: 499 GBP
- HP Pavilion dv2-1030ea: AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 (1.6 GHz), 2 GB DDR2 RAM (4 GB max), ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 (512 MB), 320 GB HD (5400 rpm), external DVD burner, Windows Vista Home Premium: 599 GBP
- HP Pavilion dv2-1035ea: AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 (1.6 GHz), 4 GB DDR2 RAM (4 GB max), ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 (512 MB), 500 GB HD (5400 rpm), external DVD burner, Windows Vista Home Premium: 699 GBP
For the US model, it’s likely to be a configurable model, so watch the HP Home & Home Office Store
Update: I found it (dv2-1030us) at HP US (HP Home & Home Office) as Quick Ship model (749 USD), and at The Nerds (810 USD) and at MacMall (816 USD). And you may be interested on the reports in the Notebook Review forum and the First look in the same site.
